Leo Druart, Ph.D.
Leo Druart, is a physical therapist originally from France. After obtaining his physical therapist certification there he worked as a clinician for a few years before involving himself in academia within his discipline. As such, he was a lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy of the Medical School on the University Grenoble Alpes for several years, training physical therapy undergraduates from their bachelor to their master’s degree. In parallel, he obtained a doctoral degree on the topic of placebo effects in physiotherapy. His work is rooted in interdisciplinary research and covers topics such as open-label placebo, contextual factors and the epistemology of physical therapy. He is currently a post-doctoral research in the Medical Expectations Lab of Brown University.
